Pakistani Dasi Girls
Designed by James Strachan and considered this architect’s greatest achievement, the college was built between 1887 and 1893. bolly wood film Dabangg
When I first saw the theatrical trailer of Salman Khan's latest offering, Dabangg, I knew the viewers were in for a ride. A ride filled with full-on dialogue-baazi, pulp-inducing fights, unrealistic plot and very little logic, if any! After all, for the majority of his career, that's the sort of Cinema Khan has done. And it's not out of necessity, mind you. It's almost by design and a conscious choice on Khan's part. A choice that has landed him firmly into the hearts of the masses and taken him as far away from new-age Hindi cinema as possible. If one were to pen down a list of Bollywood's better actors, I doubt Khan would find his name on the list. He has shown enough flashes as an actor that leads me to believe that he can outshine the mightiest of performers should he really want to but he has consistently seemed content with putting in average performances. And, ironically, he's always seemed fine with that for he's hardly taken his acting, career and/or fame seriously. This attitude clearly reflects his choice of movies and his bare award cabinet is witness to that (not that there's much credibility left to any Bollywood Awards these days). He's a fine actor when he wants to be, but by and large, he's a star and perhaps the biggest in India in the purest sense of the word. That's how Sallu Bhai rolls and that's why the masses love him. He has always played to the galleries and that's exactly what he does in Dabangg as well.
Aside from being a movie, Dabangg is more of a case study into the B-grade school of film making. If Robert Rodriguez was in Bollywood, this is exactly the kind of movie he would have made. Dabangg sells a character to its audience - a character that is made up of all the cliché’s one can associate with this genre. Khan's Chulbul "Robin hood" Pandey comes from the family of larger than life heroes who ruled Hindi Cinema back in the 70', 80's and early 90's until the likes of Yash Chopra, Sooraj Barjatya and Karan Johar replaced the Vijay's, Veeru's, Jai's with Rahul's, Samir's and Prem's in the late 90's. Gone were the days where a hero's entry would be greeted with whistles and cheers by the Hoi Polloi quotient of the audience. The whistles and cheers were seamlessly replaced with sighs and gushes of girls and aunties alike. Multiplexes were born and single screens pushed aside. A younger (and more sophisticated) generation of film-makers, with fresh ideas, forced its way through and family audiences became the target audience. Samosa's and peanuts gave way to popcorn and fountain drinks. Hindi cinema was progressing and production houses, backed by International Studios, replaced the individual producer.
However, lost and neglected in all this commotion has been a genre which the new-age film makers have termed too outdated for the increasingly "smarter" audiences - A genre where the hero single-handedly beats an army of 100 goons without breaking a sweat to the delight of those watching in the theatre or at home and no one dare questions the logic and laws of physics while he's at it. Look, I am sure that Raj, Prem and Rahul are all nice guys - but Vijay they're not. The hysteria that Amitabh Bachchan's angry young man persona and countless hits used to create back in the day hasn't been evident over the past two decades. I am all for progression of cinema and infusion of reality and sophistication into movies. Audiences have grown smarter and want to watch stuff they can identify with and fathom. However, there will always be enough room and viewership for movies of all genres’ including B-grade heroism - the trick is to package and present the Vijay of yore in a new avatar. That's where Dabangg succeeds. Chulbul Pandey is essentially Vijay re-incarnated but with today's attitude

Hello Darling Film Review
This is the week of bad and long-delayed films (or dabbe ki picture). Like Aashayein, Hello Darling was lying in the cans for two years for lack of buyers. On seeing the film, you wish it had had a straight-to-DVD release.Hello Darling's story if lifted from the 1980 film, 9 to 5. So you have three buxom women trying to get rid of their lecherous and manipulative boss. Candy (Celina Jaitley) is the bimbo secretary, Mansi (Gul Panag) is the frustrated and hard-working manager, and Satwati (Eesha Koppikhar) is the spirited and enterprising out-of-towner. Sucking the joy out of their existence is Harddick Vasu (actual spelling on his cabin door; Jaaved Jaaferi) who propositions anything with a pulse. He is married to Purvi (Divya Dutta as a a typical Gujurati wife). Fed up of his advances and blackmail, the three plot and plan his downfall. Since it is a commercial and supposedly happy movie, luck favours them.Hello Darling is an alarmingly cheap movie. The character's name is spelled "Harddick", he gives "dick-tation" to his se(x)retary, he "protects" her like a condom would, and loves the way she does her "job". The dialogue is inundated with double entendres in bad taste. There are homosexual jokes because that is the trend these days. When there is no sexual connotation, corny and silly dialogues are served. It is hard to believe that the actors actually agreed to say all that. Divya’s character Purvi calls herself Purviben and her husband Hardikbhai. Honestly, who does that? The supposed comedy is slapstick, exaggerated, and full of prolonged misunderstandings. You want it all to end and how! As in every other Hindi movie, all loose ends are tied quickly and all problems are solved in a jiffy, as if they never existed!The production design is tacky and most of the shooting has been done at Whistling Woods. Though the film is set in a fashion house, the clothes are not remarkable. In a few scenes, the characters are dressed like street-walkers. The actresses are buxom and their cleavage and thighs are focussed open with abandon. Barring Aa jaane jaa, the music is noisy and the characters break into wannabe hip-hop tracks at regular intervals.Jaaved Jaaferi is very talented and has not got his due in Bollywood. He must be very sporting to subject himself to this kind of humiliation. Since his character evokes hatred in women, he has done his job well. He should stick to Yash Raj films or do films that are worthy of his talent. Gul Panag looks pretty and fairly stylish but she is utterly wasted in the movie. Eesha Koppikhar is ebullient and mouths a few funny lines. As the stereotyped Catholic girl, Celina Jaitley strains to get her expressions right and is quite plastic. Divya Dutta does the Gujarati act pretty well. Chunky Pandey’s impersonation of Elvis Presley is exasperating. Sunny Deol’s dubbing is very poor.

One of the qualities that money requires is that it be scarce. If it were not, it would have no value as money. For instance, if ordinary stones were money, then anyone could just pick some up off the ground and pay a merchant for his goods. But why would a merchant accept stones when he could just stoop down to pick up stones, too. He wouldn't need to sell merchandise, or do anything at all, if he could just pick up some stones and use it for money. Everyone else would think similarly, hence, there would be no economy, and nothing to buy with the stones.
Although many different items were used for money in the past, people eventually discovered that gold was the ideal material for money. It could not be manufactured or printed, it was not easily mined, and it was difficult to find new sources for gold. That it was also the most ductile and malleable of metals made it easy to fashion into coins. But gold was heavy, and how much a person could carry is severely limited, since a 10 dollar gold piece would be 10 times heavier than a 1 dollar gold piece.
So governments decided that printed currency, usually called bills or notes, was the solution. A 10 dollar bill, for instance, weighs just as much as 1 dollar bill or a 100 dollar bill. This was a good solution, except for a few little problems. What would prevent anybody from just printing money? Governments solved that problem by using secret methods of printing and passing harsh laws to punish anyone who would try. But what would prevent the government from just printing more money to pay itself and others? Governments have done that—Germany, after World War I, for instance. Consequently, their currency become worthless. It took a wheelbarrow of cash to buy a loaf of bread. Germans were literally burning money to keep warm in the winter. Oftentimes, people in such economies turn to hard currency, which is a trusted currency of a stable country, because nobody wants to buy or sell using currency that is continually devaluing. So obviously, there has to be some way to prevent governments from just printing money, and the way that was done was to make it equal, by law, to something else that couldn't be easily made, printed, or found—gold.

In 1967, a Chicago bank rejected to provide pound loan to a professor named Milton Friedman, because his purposed was to use this fund to sell short the British pound. Before this agreement was signed, the gold remittance standard system which was widely used since 1876 - was leading the international economy system until the First World War. In the gold remittance system, the currency was at the stable level under the support of the gold price. The gold remittance system has abolished the old time king and the ruler which depreciates the currency value unlawfully, which will lead to inflation.
But, the gold remittance standard system is certainly imperfect. Along with a country economic potentiality enhancement, it can import massive products from overseas, until it exhausts the gold reserve of certain country. It resulted the supply of the currency reduces, the interest rate raises, the economic activity will start to decline until it reaches the recession limit. Finally, the commodity price falls to the valley, gradually attracts other countries to stream in, massively rushes to purchase this country commodity. This will pour gold into this country, this will increase this country currency supplies quantity, and it will reduce the interest rate, and will create the wealth. This is so called the "the prosperity - decline” pattern and is the circulation of the gold remittance standard system, until the trade circulation and the gold freedom was broken by the First World War.
After several catastrophes wars, the Bretton Woods agreement has appeared. The countries which signed the treaty agreed to maintain the domestic currency to US dollar exchange rate, as well as the necessity of the corresponding ratio of the gold, and only allow a small fluctuation. My husband and I went to Kish Island for our honeymoon and stayed at Daruish Hotel for 5 days. When we arrived, we had to wait for almost an hour to check in with 10 families that arrived at the hotel with us.Daruish Hotel has an elegant lobby and anyone who enters the lobby would think, oh what a gorgeous hotel, but rooms are not the same at all. They are pretty small and not luxurious like hotel’s lobby. At night, hotel building is really charming with all the beautiful lighting; however it doesn’t have the same appeal during the day time. Room service was O.K., but the restaurant was very expensive and the food was not that great.The Breakfast was 5 star and we loved it.On the whole, our stay at Daruish Hotel was O.K. but not what one would expect from a 5 star hotel.
We (two families) stayed for 4 nights in two separate rooms at this Hotel last December. We found it beautiful but snobbish.Pros: Nice location on a high area facing the Persian Gulf. It has two beautiful big gardens which are suitable for walking and enjoing the beauty of pond, fountains and flowers. Hotel was made based on Perspolis architecture so exterior and interior designs (especially lobby) are fantastic. Seaside rooms have a very beautiful view of sea and island.Cons: When watching details it is tinkered. rooms are big but not well decorated. wallpapers are scabbed in some areas.One of the main disadvantages is bathrooms. For a five star hotelt is not good.No attention to details, bad smell and leaking water from battub causes you feel being in a three star hotel.Reception staff are not friendly and somehow are arrogant. Some of reception staff treat you as you are supposed to respect them because they are a five star hotel staff.Although roommate staff were nice. The last day I phoned to ask for a bellboy to transfer our loggages to groundfloor but nothing happened. I phoned four times and finally after half an hour they sent sombody but we were told that because we are late we do not have free transportation service to the airport . We insisted that it was your fault that send the bellboy late. We treated badly by hotel staff at that time although we reobtained our transportation service.If I want to rate the hotel I will say the location deserves five star,rooms three, facilities four and staff and service only one star. Finally I only recommend it for its magnificent view from your window and its atmosphere.

Queen Rania
The Royal Palace says Jordan’s Queen Rania has undergone a non-surgical procedure in New York to correct an irregular heart beat.
The 40-year-old queen accompanied her husband, King Abdallah, who attended the UN General Assembly meetings in New York. She also attended separate functions, including a panel on empowering girls.
“The procedure is a catheterization through a vein to the heart. It is used to treat abnormal heart rhythms, or premature ventricular contractions, which is a common condition,” the palace statement said. “During the procedure, an electric current is used to stop the disturbance of electrical flow through the heart, thus restoring a healthy heart rhythm.”
A palace spokesman said: “The procedure went very smoothly and her majesty is well and in good spirits. She will remain in hospital for two nights while she recuperates.” The queen is expected to fly home later this week. Rania is to remain in a New York hospital for two nights to recuperate and will return home later in the week.
